The President is the head of government, and the Parliament is the legislative body. 

Iran has had a tumultuous political history, with periods of democratic reform and authoritarian rule.


Iran is also known for its rich cultural heritage, including poetry, literature, art, and architecture.

 Persian rugs, miniature paintings, and calligraphy are all important aspects of Iranian art. 

Persian cuisine is also renowned for its use of spices and herbs, and includes dishes such as kebabs, stews, and rice dishes.


Iran is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the ancient ruins of Persepolis, the city of Isfahan, and the Masjed-e Jameh mosque in Yazd. 

The country also has several natural attractions, including the Caspian Sea, the Alborz Mountains, and the Dasht-e Lut desert.


In recent years, Iran has been involved in several conflicts in the Middle East. 

The country has supported the Syrian government in the Syrian Civil War, and has been involved in the conflict in Yemen. 

Iran has also been accused of supporting armed groups in Iraq and Lebanon.
